I read this book as an advance reader copy and ordered the special edition hardcover book box the next day. The candle smells amazing and the stickers are adorable!

Greed of Giants This was such a great read. The world building ( and yes I looked at the map as I read lol). @angelajfordbooks knows how to write an adventurous romance. The slow burn between Ilaris and Killian is so good. The banter, yearning and compelling conversations throughout, chefs kiss.
I loved receiving this box and being able to look at all the goodies that were included. It felt a bit like Christmas. I have a photo album where I keep all the artwork, stickers, and even book marks that I've received from authors, so I'm very excited to add these to my collection. I look forward to diving into the Greed of Giants soon! Thank you!
I liked this book and found it to be an intriguing read. It's a romance story about sacrifice and redemption and more. It's a fast-paced page turner. And I liked the premise of the overall storyline but I did feel like there was some plot holes that needed further elaboration. Aside from that I think it was a pretty decent read with a nice ending.

First and foremost thank you for this wonderful ARC, apologies that it’s a little late. Let me start out by saying I was pretty much trapped in this book from the very first sentence. The most intriguing thing to me was how Ilaris’s scandal leads her on a hunt for treasure to gain her scholar status. As well as the fact magic is rarely used in the world anymore. Killian and Ilaris are super cute together and from the very beginning I loved the dynamic between the scholar and the giant. The ending was everything and I definitely recommend.
The deluxe edition of Greed of Giants is absolutely gorgeous! You can never have too much gold foil, after all.

The book was wonderful. However more care could have been placed in packaging. The book was simply placed in a cardboard box. No plastic bubble wrap or anything to protect the merchandise from weather. Packages are placed outside sometimes and damaged in the mail. A layer of plastic would have been appreciated considering how much the book cost.

The book itself is beautiful. However, the packaging could have been better. The book was simply thrown into a paper box without any plastic over it to protect the merchandise from the weather. Postal workers leave packages on front lawns. The book would have been ruined had it rained. As much as this book cost, a little extra care and consideration should have been placed in its packaging.

I received this ARC from the Forbidden Bonds Collection. Overall this was a good book. My favorite character was Jasper. This book was 282pgs long with a slow steady pace. Our MFC loves knowledge and doesn’t always think before acting. Our MMC is trying to fulfill his duty even if he doesn’t know what it is. Some of the places were beautifully described. There were a few little surprises I didn’t see coming in a good way. The plot was good Their journey was adventurous and flowed quickly. There prophecies, magic, longing and fighting. If that sounds interesting to you come check out this book. Comes out July /7/26
I absolutely devoured this book! Ahhh! From the first few chapters, I was completely invested and couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I was up until 4am, with the usual "just one more chapter" excuses! The world building felt immersive without being super overwhelming or too much, and the characters had so much depth that I found myself emotionally invested in EVERY decision they made. The story strikes a great balance between action, emotion, and high stakes, with enough plot twists to keep me reading AND guessing. THE YEARNING had me yearning for the sequel, ASAP, please! I have no patience when it comes to a good book. This is the kind of fantasy book that stays with you long after you've finished. I've already pre-ordered the special edition and got the audible version lol!
Ugh from the moment I read the description of this book I knew it would be amazing! And it most definitely was. The depiction of the characters Illaris and Killian from start to finish felt like a journey in itself, just seeing how they went from two complete strangers to watching their relationship form, it was very satisfying (love me some good character development). And the storyyyyyy, ugh, I love it when we get a quest, a curse, and tension all wrapped up in a nice bow. Not to mention Jasper, I need him in my life, no question about it. The story-building was really well done, setting the scene perfectly and had me feeling so immersed almost as if I was watching the characters from afar. However, the ending had me shooketh, and it was completely unexpected. Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a bit of adventure, fantasy and tension!
If you're the type that likes your stories wrapped up in a neat little bow at the end, you won't get that with this story. However, you will get two different people learning how to sacrifice for each other and eventually more than themselves. The beginning was a little slow for me, mostly because I was getting used to the world. However, once the two main characters met and started their journey, it was non-stop. A beautiful story overall. Note there are some mild references to some adult times between the characters towards the end but nothing really described.
Oh this was absolutely beautiful and brilliant. The hope was written in such a way that I could feel it as though it was my own emotion. I love how the book explores corruption and greed in such a natural way. The yearning was exactly the right amount and I might want a black dog with horns now. I highly recommend this book for anyone that likes adventures with romance and end of the world stakes. This was an amazing book. Five stars EASILY

While their quest is exciting, it's their emotional journeys that take center stage. I finished this in literal hours because of how close I felt to the characters. By the time I reached the end of their story, I had grown in ways I hadn't expected. It forced me to face the questions I would have chosen to run from; it asked me to contemplate what I wanted from my future and if it was the same thing that had started me on my journey so long ago. We find ourselves in every book in so many different ways. Ilaris and Killian carried not only their burdens but the fragments of the heroes we were before we had to choose between ourselves and the world. I think I will carry this book with me forever.
This was a truly amazing story to read with the lore and the adventure. The twists and turns of the main characters, the trails/challenges they face together and the reluctant build of trust. There was a splash of romance as a subplot which was a nice change of pace from what is being released right now. Also loved the scholar x bad boy (he kinda is a bad boy) trope. You will experience all the feelings and while the ending is satisfying it will also break your heart, in my personal opinion the best way.
Who doesn't love when a scholar and a giant goes on a quest to save the world? I thought that this story had a great premise. It had immersive world-building from the start. The way the surrounding were described were lush and you couldn't help but be able to picture everything in your head. Both main characters were interesting; they were well rounded and likeable. Ilaris is extremely curious with a strong need for justice, which I can relate to. The yearning was palpable bewteen the two as well. What I thought was problematic was the marketed genre. I've seen it marketed as a Romantasy/ fantasy romance. Some.readers, like myself, will suspect certain outcomes and promises. The ending is shocking because of what I've come to understand is a promise of Romantasy novels. Now if this would have been marketed as a romantic fantasy or just a fantasy, I wouldn't have been as shocked. Because I had a certain idea of how this was going to end, I felt a bit unsatified by the ending. This, however, doesn't take away from the strong underlying theme of the entire novel, which I think was the main point of it.
An intriguing tale between a scholar who seeks recognition and a fire giant who had sought greed and brought destruction upon his race. Ilaris had a poor beginning in life and sought knowledge in the House of Scholars. After sharing truth about a situation about a powerful family, she is sent into the field to translate runes for the next six months as penance and her membership. As she visits the ruins on the island, she discovers a scroll and reads from the old language, and awakens a fire giant. Killian and Ilaris, who are now blood bound, must journey to awaken four other giant princes to seal the door before the Unmaking is leashed upon the mortals. Through this journey the attraction between the two is evident, but she is unable to touch him, as his fire can burn her. The both come to understand and learn to forgive themselves and learn what loving the other means. Their love is what allows Killian to change heart and help Ilaris to seek the relics that will help to bring salvation to the mortal realm, but the price will be their ulimate sacrifice. I will say this was a touching book and focused on the character development. They each had growth to achieve, past acts to bury, and love to accept. I did not predict the ending and I my heart wish it had ended differently. But, at the same time, I think it was the best ending for this story. Oh. Just oh. In a long drawn out wistful sigh. I loved this book. I have read several books by this author and am always surprised by how she weaves deep emotion into a less-is-more approach to romance. There is no spice and yet you can still feel the heat-especially between the fire giant and the scholar. This is a story that will haunt me in the best way. The characters are deep, flawed yet hopeful. The world-building is beautiful, with wonderful descriptions of magical places and creatures. It was not what I expected and yet I wouldn’t have it any other way. I was given an advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
